K. Wood$ is a director, event curator and artist who’s pride is a vulnerable body of work that conveys his desire for comfort. While he is a multifaceted creative, his preferred medium is his music, a deeply personal string of consciousness that sees Wood$ utilising creative and witty lyrics against colourful soundscapes to paint a vidid and intricate mental picture. His next project, the EP “The Parts You Can’t See” continues this tradition, as it chronicles woods travails through an anxious and avoidant relationship and the triumphant return of his true self.
Raised In Baltimore by a single mother alongside two brothers, from a young age Wood$ took solace in music, but only found his groove at age 19 when he started taking his music creation seriously. He’s open about being a late bloomer in this respect, but, In his words, “It’s never too late when you’re destined to make shit happen”.
In 2019, wood$ took a step forward, releasing 4 projects. Having tested the waters, in 2020 he streamlined his output, focusing everything into one essential project, the fan favourite, “Grandma’s Death”, also known as the album with no skips. The following year, Wood$ stepped into the directors seat with the short film “I Got Magic” in support of the project, showcasing the endless amounts of creativity in his possession. He has a few tricks up his sleeve as he gears up to the release of The Parts You Can’t See, a project that kicks off the next volume of his career, a volume containing chapters that improve on themselves ceaselessly.
